Fire Explorer Program
Wilmar Fire began a Fire Explorer Program in the year 2000, which has been a huge success to this day. High School students interested in the fire service are given a “hands-on” approach to all the different duties and responsibilities of a Firefighter. Many of our Explorer’s go on to become Volunteer Firefighters for Wilmar, and some eventually end up with paid career jobs in the fire service!
