2007 Freightliner Westgates Water Tender
Water Tender 9496 carries a couple of thousand gallons of water, is equipped with a pump and hose. There are no fire hydrants in the Wilmar Fire Department's response area. Therefore, water tenders are an essential part of a fire response.
9400 Chief
2004 Ford F150 Utility 1/2 ton 4x4 Command Vehicle
9400 is the vehicle assigned to the Fire Chief for emergency response to incidents to serve as the Incident Commander.
9471 Engine
2003 Freightliner American LaFrance Type III Engine
Engine 9471 is designed and equipped to specifically respond to wiildland fires. However, it carries equipment to respond to most types of incidents.
9441 Utility
2002 Chevy 2500HD Utility 3/4 Ton 4x4 Pick Up
9441 is a 4 door utility pickup. It is used to carry equipment to and from incidents and training drills.
2980 Engine
1998 Central States HME Type I Engine
Engine 2980 (former 9481) is now Sonoma County Fire reserve engine. It is an "all risk" engine carrying equipment to respond to any type of emergency.
9431 Engine/Rescue
1996 International 4900 Engine/Rescue Type 3
9431 is our rescue vehicle specially equipped to respond to motor vehicle accidents and special rescue incidents. However, it also has a water tank and pump and can therefore respond to fire calls as well.
